Haneyya: Oppressing Palestinian prisoners part of terrorist schemes

The head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has stressed that the oppression practiced against the Palestinian prisoners constitutes part of a terrorist plan that falls within an agreed-upon agenda in the Netanyahu government.

In a press statement on Saturday, Haneyya said that the Israeli Prison Service, under orders from terrorist, Minister of Internal Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, has launched an ongoing campaign of repression since yesterday against Palestinian prisoners in several Israeli prisons.

“The region is heading for an unprecedented escalation,” Haneyya underlined, stressing that the confrontation will not remain in prisons and that the Palestinian people will not leave the prisoners alone in their battle.

Haneyya condemned Ben Gvir for honoring the soldier who killed the child Muhammad Ali in Shuafat and for praising the killing of Palestinian citizens in Jenin in addition to suppressing the Palestinian masses who welcomed the two heroic prisoners Karim and Maher Younes who were released after spending 40 years in Israeli jails.

He called on all the leaders around the world to intervene in order to stop the crimes of Ben Gvir and the fascist right-wing Israeli government’s practices against the Palestinian people, especially Palestinian prisoners.

Earlier in the morning, the Israeli repression units stormed several sections in Megiddo, Ofer, and Negev desert prisons, attacking Palestinian prisoners and isolating a group of them.
