Dozens of Palestinians injured in West Bank weekly protests

Dozens of Palestinians in the West Bank were wounded on Friday in confrontations with Israeli occupation forces (IOF) while protesting Israeli escalated settlement plans.

In Nablus, dozens of Jewish settlers stormed Qaryut village and performed Talmudic rituals, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.

Three Palestinians were injured with rubber-coated metal bullets during the clashes.

Medical sources also reported that 26 Palestinians were injured Beit Dajan weekly protests.

Earlier Thursday, a group of settlers proceeded with building a new settlement outpost in the area.

Hebrew media sources claimed that the new illegal outpost was "dedicated to the memory of the late rabbi and religious Zionist spiritual leader Haim Drukman."

Similar clashes also erupted in Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya.

Meanwhile, Zionist troops fired tear gas, rubber-coated bullets, and live ammunition at crowds who were taking part in an anti-occupation event in Masafer Yatta village, south of al-Khalil, wounding dozens of protesters.

The activists were planting olive trees when IOF violently attacked them and confiscated 100 seedlings.

In Occupied Al-Quds, hundreds of Palestinians performed Friday prayers on their lands threatened with confiscation in Qalandia town.

In Tulkarem, a young man suffered from gunshot injuries near the apartheid wall. However, the IOF prevented his medical assistance. His four friends were also detained in the site.

On a weekly basis, Palestinians hold demonstrations against illegal Jewish settlements in different parts of the West Bank, especially in Beita, Beit Dajan and Kafr Qaddoum villages.

Israeli and Palestinian estimates indicate there are about 650,000 settlers living in 164 settlements and 116 outposts in the occupied West Bank, including Al-Quds.

Under international law, all Jewish settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories are considered illegal.
