Settlers uproot 65 olive saplings west of Salfit

A group of Jewish settlers on Friday uprooted and destroyed 65 olive saplings belonging to three Palestinian farmers in the occupied West Bank city of Salfit.

Eyewitnesses reported that the settlers uprooted 35 olive saplings from an agricultural land belonging to the local farmer Mustafa Jabara, 11 other saplings belonging to Jamil Juma, and 10 saplings belonging to Tayseer Yaqoub, located in Banat Bar area, west of Kafer Dick town.

Palestinians across the occupied West Bank have faced an alarming rise in settler violence in the past year of 2022.

Both authorized and unauthorized Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian land are considered illegal under international law.
