Overnight clashes erupt in Nablus, Bethlehem

Several Palestinians were injured as clashes erupted during Israeli night raids into Nablus and Bethlehem late Monday.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that a young man was hit in the face by a tear gas canister and moved to hospital for treatment in Osrin town, south of Nablus, while five others suffered from teargas inhalation.


Local sources also reported that clashes erupted in al-Tell area in the Old City after being stormed by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) amid heavy firing of teargas bombs and live ammunition. Several locals were injured during the clashes.


Earlier on Monday, the IOF detained a Palestinian university student while leaving Khudari University in al-Khalil.
