Palestinian student earns academic excellence award in USA
The Palestinian student Sarah Abu Rashid received 1.2 million USD as an academic excellence award from Harvard University in Cambridge city in the USA.
Sarah Abu Rashid is a writer and a poet. One of her poems is being taught to high school students in the United States.
In addition, her contributions to research studies are published in more than 10 Journals in America.
Moreover, she wrote a play that depicts her experience in the diaspora, which was performed more than 16 times in several states in America.
In 2018, Abu Rashid was chosen among 20 students to attend the Democracy Conference of Ambassadors held in Greece.
Sarah Abu Rashid, a Palestinian originally from Haifa, had been living in the Yarmouk refugee camp in the Syrian capital before migrating to Ohio in the USA eight years ago.
