Palestinian resistance group calls for direct confrontation with Zionists

The Palestinian resistance group Lion's Den (TLD) has called on Palestinians living across the occupied West Bank to ramp up the struggle against the Tel Aviv regime, and directly engage with Israeli military forces as well as extremist settlers.

“Don't worry. By God's grace, the Lion's Den fighters are standing on your side and fighting alongside you. Surround Zionists so they would not have a chance of escape,” the resistance group said in a statement as it addressed Palestinians from all strata of society.

It also urged Palestinians, who are living in neighborhoods close to illegal settlements, to block roads for Israeli settlers and troops and actively target them.

The Lion's Den earlier announced that its members had carried out five retaliatory operations against Israeli targets across the West Bank.

Meanwhile, the Joint Operations Room (JOR) – a grouping of Palestinian resistance factions in the Gaza Strip that operate as a quasi-army against Israel, also expressed its full support for the Lions’ Den, the Jenin Brigade, the Nablus Brigade, the Tulkarm Brigade, and all other resistance groups fighting against the occupying Israeli regime.

It condemned  the “barbaric atrocities” against the Shuafat refugee camp in East al-Quds, which has been subject to a strict siege since last Saturday following the killing of an Israeli soldier, and praised “the spirited heroic resistance in the occupied West Bank and al-Quds.”

The JOR stated that it was “closely monitoring the crimes being committed by the Israeli regime against Palestinians and their holy sites, desecration of the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, and violent raids on Palestinian cities, villages, and refugee camps.”

It went on to urge “all Palestinians living in al-Quds, the West Bank, and the territories occupied in 1948 to voice their outrage and retaliate against the barbaric Israeli aggression against holy sites there.”

Israeli forces have recently been conducting overnight raids and killings in the northern occupied West Bank, mainly in the cities of Jenin and Nablus, where new groups of Palestinian resistance fighters have been formed.

At least 171 Palestinians have been martyred by Zionist regime’s troops in the illegally occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip since the beginning of the year, including 51 Palestinians during Israel’s three-day assault on Gaza in August, according to the Palestinian health ministry.

Local and international rights groups have condemned Israel’s excessive use of force and “shoot-to-kill policy” against Palestinians.
