Israel abducted over 9000 Palestinian Children in Quds since 2015

According to the Palestine Detainees Studies Center, Since the Al-Quds intifada in October 2015, the Zionist regime has detained nearly 9,000 Palestinian children in the city of Quds.

October 1, 2022, marks the seventh anniversary since the start of the 'Al Quds Uprising' that broke out in protest against the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and colonial settlers' repressive policies against Palestinians, most notably the burning of one-year-old infant Ali Dawabsheh to death.

The Uprising took place after the Israeli occupation authorities imposed increased, draconian separation measures on the Palestinian residents of occupied Jerusalem to drive them out of the Old City in order to maintain colonial settlers' presence in and sovereignty over it.

The Al-Quds Uprising, also known as the third Intifada, was marked by repeated extra-judicial executions of Palestinians, including minors, incitement to kill 'Arabs', easing of firing regulations to allow a 'shoot-to-kill' policy, punitive house demolitions, arbitrary detentions, and extensive use of administrative detention against innocent civilians. The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) commit blatant and calculated violations of the basic rules of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and International Human Rights Law (IHRL).

One of the colonial settlers' terrorist attacks against Palestinians that sparked fury among the Palestinians and is of the key reasons behind the Uprising was the firebombing of 18-month-old Palestinian infant Ali Dawabsheh and his parents to death in the occupied West Bank town of Duma.

The blazing fire terrorist Israeli settlers set to the house on July 2015 claimed the life of 18-month-old Ali and left both his parents, Saad and Reham Dawabsheh, in critical condition before they were pronounced dead. Four-year-old survivor, Ahmed, is the only one who survived the attack with critical injuries.

The horrendous arson attack against the Dawabsheh family and the expansion of colonial settlements have fostered feelings of frustration and anger within the Palestinian community and ignited demonstrations throughout occupied Palestine against the Israeli occupation. The IOF has responded with excessive use of fire and deadly force against protesters, using live ammunition, rubber-coated steel bullets, and tear gas to kill and injure dozens of Palestinian protesters.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, between October 1st 2015 and September 30th 2016, Israeli occupation forces killed 248 Palestinians, including 59 children and 16 women, and injured 18,207 others, 2,095 of whom were injured with live ammunition. In addition, they detained 8,327 Palestinians, including 2,521 children and 187 women, according to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.
