Zionist troops martyr young Palestinian, injure three others in Nablus raid
The Zionist regime’s forces have launched a raid in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, claiming the life of a Palestinian and injuring several others in yet another act of aggression in the occupied Palestinian territories.
A young Palestinian man, identified as Saed al-Koni in his late 20s, was shot dead and three others wounded in the Israeli raid in Nablus, north of the occupied West Bank, on Sunday, Palestine's official Wafa news agency reported citing unnamed security sources.
The news agency said the young Palestinian was shot dead by an undercover Israeli force who broke into the neighborhood of Al-Taawon in Nablus, adding that the three Palestinians injured in the Israeli raid were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Another two Palestinians were also reported by Wafa to have been arrested during the Israeli raid in the nearby Masaken neighborhood in Nablus.
The deadly aggression came a day after Israeli forces fatally shot a Palestinian driver, who had lost control of his vehicle, accusing him of attempting a "car-ramming attack" against them.
The 36-year-old Mohammad Ali Abu Kafia was driving near the village of Jit to the west of Nablus in the north of the Israeli-occupied West Bank on Saturday when he crashed into an Israeli police vehicle. Abu Kafia is a father of three children and worked as a teacher at a school in the village of Bir Nabala, northwest of the holy occupied city of al-Quds.
Two days earlier, a plainclothes Israeli officer had fatally shot a Palestinian near the city of Ramallah in the West Bank over an alleged stabbing attack.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Israeli occupation forces have killed more than 140 Palestinians and injured many more in the occupied territories since the beginning of the year, including 49 people killed during Israel’s recent three-day offensive on the Gaza Strip.
On September 12, the Palestinian Authority's Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh warned that the intensified Israeli military crackdown in the occupied territories will inevitably push the West Bank to the verge of a major explosion, arguing that Israeli factions were fueling the violence for the sake of their own political interests.
