Sheikh Sabri: Al-Quds residents have the right to choose their curriculum
Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied Al-Quds and preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, has stressed that the Al-Quds residents’ families have the right to choose the curriculum of their children which represent their religion, culture, and beliefs.
“The Jerusalem (Al-Quds) schools' strike reflects the students and their families’ rejection of the Israeli curriculum in addition to insisting on keeping the Palestinian curriculum,” Sheikh Sabri said in a radio talk on Monday, calling on Arab and Palestinian institutions and media to support the popular position in Jerusalem.
Earlier today, Palestinian schools in occupied East Al-Quds implemented a comprehensive strike in protest at the Israeli attempts to impose the Israeli curriculum which distorts and omits historical facts.
In a joint statement, the Palestinian national and Islamic forces on Sunday called on all Jerusalem schools to abide by the strike.
