Over 290 settlers defile Aqsa Mosque

Dozens of Jewish settlers escorted by police forces desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Al-Quds on Sunday morning and later in the afternoon.

At least 295 settlers entered the Mosque in different groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards, according to al-Qastal news website.

During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them provocatively performed Talmudic prayers.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police imposed movement and entry restrictions on Muslim worshipers at the Aqsa Mosque’s entrances and gates.

In a related context, Palestinian activists have called on their compatriots from across the occupied territories to march en masse to the Aqsa Mosque on September 26 and 27 to protect it against intended settler desecration.

The activists urged the Palestinian families to organize bus trips for their members to the Aqsa Mosque during these days to protect it against possible settler break-ins.

They pointed out that large numbers of settlers would flock to the holy city aboard buses to participate in massive break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque to mark the Hebrew new year.
