Hamas delegation to visit Algeria for Palestinian national dialog
Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said that the leadership of his Movement received an official invitation to visit Algeria soon to participate in a renewed inter-Palestinian meeting intended to explore avenues for achieving national reconciliation.
In press remarks on Saturday, spokesman Barhoum added that the Hamas delegation would be led by Khalil al-Hayya, head of the Movement’s Arab and Islamic relations office.
Last August, Algerian President Abdul-Majid Tebboune announced that his country would seek to host a meeting for Palestinian factions ahead of the Arab Summit slated to be held in early November.
This would be the third visit by a top Hamas delegation to Algeria to participate in inter-Palestinian national dialog during the current year. The previous two visits happened in mid-January and early July.
