Hamas’ visit to Russia reflects openness to international parties, says official

Member of Hamas Political Bureau Husam Badran has said that the Hamas delegation’s visit to Russia reflects its considerable significance as an effective player in the Palestinian area on the political and field levels.

In a press statement Friday, Badran pointed out that the visit came in the context of his movement’s policy of openness to all regional and international parties in the quest of serving the Palestinian interests and delivering the Palestinian message to the world.

The Hamas delegation’s visit to Moscow aimed at cementing the new-old relationship between both sides and addressed how to arrange the Palestinian house in a way that serves the Palestinian national liberation project, Badran added.

As for Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s plan to hold a Palestinian factional meeting ahead of the Arab Summit, scheduled for next November, Badran explained that Algeria is exerting efforts to reorganize the Palestinian house and achieve Palestinian national unity.

Noting that Hamas has been in contact with Algeria since its visit to the country early this year, Badran emphasized that his movement is keen for Algerian efforts to succeed and has thus acted “positively and with responsibility” in this regard.

Concerning Arab normalization with the Israeli occupation, Badran reaffirmed his movement’s rejection of all forms of normalization and collaboration with the Israeli occupation as they harm the Palestinian cause.

“Military and security normalization is one of the most dangerous forms of normalization with the Israeli occupation,” Badran warned, calling on all Arab states to unite in the face of the Israeli occupation.
