Hamas urges int’l community to criminalise Israeli occupation's terrorism against Palestinians

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has called on the international community to criminalise the Israeli occupation, prosecute its leaders, and end its settler-colonisation of historic Palestine.

In a press statement Saturday, which marks the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, Hamas official Hisham Qasem stressed that the Palestinian people are "victims of the continuous terrorism that is being practised by the Israeli occupation."

"As the United Nations commemorates this occasion, the Palestinian people continue to suffer under the Israeli occupation and its ongoing terrorism for more than seven decades," Qasem pointed out.

Qasem called on the UN and international community to assume their historic responsibility and work on exposing the Israeli occupation's crimes against the Palestinian people.

The Hamas official called for pressure to be placed on the Israeli occupation to end its crimes and practical steps to be taken to sue Israeli occupation leaders at the International Criminal Court.

Qasem urged for supporting the Palestinian people in their fight to regain their legitimate national rights, defend themselves and their homeland, and end the occupation.
