Axis of resistance has Qur'anic features of defeating Israel

Qom (Qodsna) - The summit of "Palestine, the duty of the Islamic Ummah" was held in on Wednesday in Qom city. Dozens of people interested in Palestinian issues including Iraqi students and university professors attended the meeting, which was held at the University of Islamic Religions and Religions.

Dr. Abbas Khameh Yar, a member of the University of Islamic Religions and Religions, was the first person who gave a speech, explaining the history of the Zionist regime and the role of the colonial powers, especially the British government, in creating and supporting it, calling it a constant threat to the Islamic world.

Hossein Ruivaran, a political expert of Middle East affairs and a member of the Iran-based Society in Defense of the Palestinian Nation (SDPN) also talked about the Islamic Republic of Iran supports the cause of the liberation of Palestine, saying that “the priority of the Islamic Ummah is the liberation of Palestine. Therefore, Iran has pursued the liberation of Palestine by defining and creating related mechanisms such as the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST), the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communication, and especially the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.”

“Before the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the groups that fought against the Zionist regime had leftist ideologies, and in terms of military power, they were basically incapable of influencing Israel's military power,” he stressed.

Referring to the growing strength of Palestinian resistance groups against the Zionist regime, the Iranian political expert highlighted that “today we are witnessing the formation of an army (from resistance groups) that has exactly the characteristics that the holy Qur'an mentions for the defeat of Israel and the completion of the divine project. Islamic groups such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine and other Palestinian Islamist groups, Hezbollah and the Lebanese Amal Movement, the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, and the Yemeni Ansar Allah Movement, all look to confrontation against the Zionist regime as their religious duty.”

“These Islamic groups, in addition to the Islamic Republic of Iran, have today formed an international army called the Axis of Resistance,” Ruivaran said.
