Two great achievement
of Islamic Revolution

Tehran (Qodsna) - “From the very beginning of his struggle, Imam Khomeini made the Zionist regime the main target of his struggles, and all the pressures of the Shah regime against him aimed at giving up this goal. All this shows that Imam Khomeini’s goal in targeting Israel was the right decision,” Dastmalchian said, during an expert meeting organized by the SDPN.

An expert meeting was held on “the importance of clarifying Imam Khomeini’s strategies on the Palestinian issue” on Sunday at the conference hall of the Iran-based Society to Defend the Palestinian Nation (SDPN).

During the meeting, Ahmad Dastmalchian, former Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Lebanon reviewed Imam Khomeini’s decisions and strategies toward Palestine.

Stating that the Islamic Revolution in Iran was the greatest revolution of the century, Dastmalchian said: “To address this issue, we must first examine the origins of Imam Khomeini’s approach and talk about the roots of the Islamic Revolution.

“From the very beginning of his struggle, Imam Khomeini made the Zionist regime the main target of his struggles, and all the pressures of the Shah regime against him aimed at giving up this goal. All this shows that Imam Khomeini’s goal in targeting Israel was the right decision,” he added.

He further talked about the ties between the Shah and Zionists, saying that “the Shah, with the complicity of the Zionists, pursued the plan of Israeli domination over the wealth resources of the Islamic world, and without Imam Khomeini’s initiatives, no power could have stopped this colonial plan. The visit of the Zionist regime officials to Iran, such as Moshe Dayan, former War Minister of Israel, was done at that time with the aim of accelerating the same plan.”

“The Islamic Revolution gained victory when the Arab regimes were at the height of humiliation. It was that time that compromise meetings, such as Camp David, took place one after another,” Dastmalchian stressed.

Dastmalchian further mentioned the two great achievements of the Islamic Revolution that should be recorded in history, adding that “the first achievement of the Islamic Revolution is stopping the occupation and aggression of the Zionist regime in the region.”

“The second achievement of the Islamic Revolution was to build a strong, directional and purposeful resistance axis that was different from any other resistance movement,” he added.

Former Iranian diplomat went on to say that “the Palestinian resistance movements formed before the Islamic Revolution found themselves incapable of liberation, and their only goal was to strike at the enemy. Imam Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution were able to establish a strong foundation of resistance by incorporating the lofty goals of Islam, namely jihad and martyrdom, into the equations of struggle.”

“Today, the strength of the resistance is such that the Zionist regime, with all its equipment and army, is under complete siege of the resistance fighters, and the Islamic fighters with their advanced equipment are ready for the final war order to eradicate this fake regime,” Dastmalchian noted.
