New warships to join IRGC Navy soon

Rear Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy announced on Sunday that a new naval ship, named after Martyr Qassem Soleimani, has been designed in the IRGC Navy and the production process will begin soon.

This military ship will be 65 meters long and capable of carrying helicopters.

“Different surface-to-air missiles capabilities are also provided for this ship,” he added.

The Iranian military official went on to say that “another military ship, named after Martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes, has also been designed and we will start the construction of it in one of the factories of the IRGC Navy soon.”
