Iran's SDPN condemns Zionist regime's attack on worshipers of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Tehran (Qodsna) - The Iran-based Society for the Defense of the Palestinian Nation issued a statement condemning the Zionist regime's aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the attack on Palestinian worshipers.

“On Friday, the Zionist regime's aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the widespread destruction of this holy place and attacks on Palestinian worshipers and attacks on Palestinians in other parts of the West Bank show the brutal nature of the Zionist occupation regime,” the statement read.

The statement also stated that the Zionist regime was founded on “the basis of crime and genocide with the aim of institutionalizing insecurity in the heart of the Islamic world.”

“The escalation of Zionist aggression during the holy month of Ramadan against Palestinians and Al-Aqsa Mosque is rooted in the revelation of Arab-Zionist relations,” it added.

Israeli forces stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the al-Quds’ Old City on Friday, injuring more than 150 worshipers. Witnesses said Palestinians threw stones at Israeli forces, who fired rubber-coated bullets and deployed stun grenades against them.
