British pro-Palestine group targets offices of Israeli-linked firm

Palestine supporters have damaged the offices of a property firm that manages premises for an Israeli-owned arms manufacturer in Britain.

Palestine Action claimed responsibility for an attack on the offices of property consultants Fisher German at Harborne in Birmingham in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The direct action group said that Fisher German manages property for Elbit Systems, an Israeli-owned firm whose British factories manufacture weapons for the Israeli military.

Palestine Action is waging a campaign against firms which “facilitate” production of weapons for Israel.

And it vowed to “sever Elbit’s kill chain” in targeting companies linked to Elbit.

The group said in a statement: “Palestine Action activists have taken action once more against firms which facilitate Elbit System’s business of bloodshed — taking on the property managers of Elbit’s Shenstone site

“Overnight actions in Birmingham have seen the offices of Fisher German targeted — their windows smashed, premises sprayed in blood-red paint, and slogans of ‘evict Elbit’ spray painted across walls.

“We have vowed that such action will be taken against all firms which make Elbit’s British operations possible — unless they cut ties with Elbit and publicly announce that they have done so.”

The Fisher German site is used for the manufacture of engines and components for Elbit drones, in particular the Watchkeeper drone, Palestine Action says.

Palestine Action previously targeted Fisher German’s office in Birmingham last year.

Palestine Action’s campaign forced Elbit to announce the closure of its drone factory in Oldham in Greater Manchester last month following more than 18 months of occupations, blockades and weekly demonstrations at the factory.
