Hamas welcomes Kuwait’s banning of trading vessels going to and from Israeli occupation

Hamas movement welcomes the Kuwaiti authorities’ decision to bar ships departing from or arriving at the Israeli occupation.

On the Kuwaiti decision to ban cargo ships from and to the Israeli occupation, head of Hamas Media Office abroad, Hisham Qasem, said the movement believes that this move is in line with the country’s unwavering position in support of the Palestinian cause. Hamas hails such stances that highlight the Arab boycott of the Israeli occupation endorsed by the Arab League in the 1950s.

Moreover, Kuwait’s decision to bar merchant ships from and to Israeli occupation emphasizes the official policy of the Kuwaiti Emir, government, and people towards Palestine. Kuwait has supported the Palestinian cause at political, diplomatic, and international levels, the statement reads.

While hailing this move, Hamas urges the Arab and Islamic countries, along with friends of Palestine worldwide, to follow Kuwait’s footprints to isolate and boycott the Israeli occupation. In addition, these countries must halt Israeli occupation exploitation of their ports by banning any imports into or exports from the Israeli occupation.

Boycotting the occupation is a must at the time being, as it continues to kill Palestinians, steal their lands and properties, and desecrate their holy places, in a flagrant violation of international laws and conventions, Hamas added.
