Hidden aspects of 33-day war
A war that marks decline of Israel

The war, which began in 2006 with the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, ended 33 days later with a ceasefire between the two sides under Resolution 1701. Given the important effects that this war had on regional developments and equations, it completely changed the course of developments.

Tehran (Qodsna) - On the occasion of the anniversary of the 33-Day War, Iranian political expert Ahmad Reza Ruhollahzad wrote in a note: August 14 has been registered in the calendar of the Islamic Republic of Iran as the day of Islamic resistance. This is the last day of the 33-day war in Lebanon. The war, which began in 2006 with the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, ended 33 days later with a ceasefire between the two sides under Resolution 1701. Given the important effects that this war had on regional developments and equations, it completely changed the course of developments.

From the perspective of the United States and the Zionist regime and their Western and regional allies, this war was the first step in changing the map of West Asia. American literature referred to the subject as the New Middle East, and then-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice called the war "the pain of giving birth to the new Middle East."

According to reports regarding the positions of Western and Zionist political figures on the war released at that time, the primary objectives of the war were to remove Lebanese Hezbollah from the regional equation, and it was planned to destroy the infrastructure of the resistance, the hard and soft power of the resistance at the same time. The next stage was to attack Syria, and the next stage was targeting Iran. But the war did not go as planned. Although the Zionist regime coordinated with some regional governments to control public opinion, they were surprised by widespread popular protests in the region and around the world against Israel. The King of Saudi Arabia explicitly condemned Hezbollah and accused it of adventurism. The Saudi muftis not only forbade helping Hezbollah but also did not allow praying for Hezbollah victory! But the Saudi people protested against Israel in various cities, and for the first time, the Hezbollah flag and photos of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah were seen in the hands of protesters during the Saudi popular protests, and even anti-government slogans became so strong that Saudi Arabia was forced to take a stand. In addition, the cities of Jordan and more than 80 cities in Egypt were the scenes of protests and clashes with security forces.

Lebanon's Hezbollah practically challenged Israel's war machine by launching an asymmetric war. The use of military power in the framework of the psychological management of public opinion caused the public opinion in the Zionist society to collapse in various dimensions. A few days after the war, anti-war demonstrations began in various cities in the occupied territories. Hezbollah's stage-guided rain rocket displaced more than a million Zionists from the north to the south, and for the first time in its fake history, the Zionist regime encountered a phenomenon called war refugees. Since the Zionist army was always successful in all wars, the Zionist society did not feel the dangers of war, but for the first time, the war had reached a strategic depth and the government was not ready for such a situation.

The belief in the invincibility of the Zionist army was also challenged and the Zionist troops were in a state of despair, and this was so deep that it forced the Zionists to go to the end of the war. The Qatari ambassador to the United States later said that John Bolten called me at midnight to visit him, and when I went there I saw the Israeli ambassador, who was worried and confused, and without any introduction asked me to do anything to stop the war. They said that if the war continued, the Israeli army would collapse.

Although Israel attacked all the targets it had set in the war, and even after the second week that its target list had ended, it ordered blind attacks, but Hezbollah remained powerful as the first day. He was much stronger on the scene than in the early days of the war. Therefore, Israel had to move towards the end of the war.

After the end of the war, the Zionist regime formed a fact-finding committee consisting of a large number of old officers to assess the course of the war and the causes of Israel's failure. The committee, known as the Winograd Commission, formally acknowledged Israel's defeat in the war in a very detailed report.

Experts believe that the 33-Day War was a turning point in regional equations and changed the course of the region's history. Israel, which has always been victorious in all wars, saw its first defeat.

In his speech, he considered the use of this model to liberate the Golan Heights an appropriate and efficient model and called on the Syrian army to prepare itself within this model. This completely changed the view of the actors in the region towards Israel and turned Hezbollah's model of war into a successful model against Israel, to the point that Bashar al-Assad, in his speech, considered the use of this model to liberate the Golan and a suitable model for the Syrian army. He called on the Syrian army to prepare itself within the framework of this model.

Ben-Gurion, the first prime minister of the Zionist regime and the one under whose command the occupation of Palestine began, has always insisted that Israel should not lose any war, and if it loses, it will not be able to win any war after that. The result of Ben Gurion's prediction can be clearly seen in the wars that Israel has entered into since 2006. All the wars that Israel has had with Gaza (from 2008 to 2021) have not been successful, and the balance of power has changed completely to its detriment. Israel has started an indirect war with Iran in regional waters, but according to the Zionists, they have failed in this war so far, and there is no clear horizon for it.

The Zionist regime is currently under siege by the resistance, and the resistance is waiting for a final order. More than 150,000 missiles are in the possession of Lebanese Hezbollah with high accuracy, speed, intelligence, and radar evasion. Gaza also has a large stockpile of upgraded smart and anti-radar missiles. In Syria, the Syrian missile power equation has also been strengthened. In Iraq, large numbers of resistance missiles, such as Shahab 4 with a range of more than 1,000 square kilometers are ready for offensive operations, according to Zionist intelligence sources. In Yemen, resistance missiles have more range, accuracy, and destructive power every day. However, in all these areas, advanced attack and suicide drones are also available.

Finally, we come to Iran as the main pillar of the resistance, whose weapons capability alone can destroy not only Israel but also large targets in an area of more than 7,000 square kilometers. This is apart from Iran's naval power, which is now considered an advanced and powerful naval power.

Accordingly, this day not only commemorates the victory of the Lebanese resistance and the defeat of Israel in 2006, but also marks the beginning of the field decline of the Zionist regime and its regional and trans-regional allies, and the history of the region after this war must be narrated, a history that has accelerated the process of Israel's collapse, and Israel is rapidly coming to its end, and its efforts in the last one or two years are not only saving but also accelerating.
