Iran's strategy in supporting
Palestine remains firm

Gaza (Qodsna) - Speaking with Qods News Agency, Hamas deputy chief Mahmoud Al-Zahar said in this regard that “in recent decades, Iran's position has been firm and supportive of the resistance. Tehran has never recognized the Zionist regime and the interference of foreigners in the region. Iran has always supported the plans and goals of the resistance in Palestine, Yemen, Iraq, Syria and other countries, and I believe that this policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran will never change in the future.”

The member of Hamas' political bureau also poited to the character of Iran's new president, adding that "the election of a figure like Ibrahim Raisi reflects the fact that Iranians recognize him as having the necessary characteristics to manage the current situation in which Iran is facing problems. Especially in the current situation, Iran is facing severe US sanctions and pressure from other Western countries, and needs a person in the presidency of Iran who can manage and lead this difficult period well.

"If Raisi did not have these characteristics, he would not have been elected by the people and the Leader of the Revolution would not have approved of him,” Al-Zahar stressed.

Ebrahim Raisi was elected as the new president of Iran after gaining 60% of the votes in the 13th presidential election.

Given the character of Ibrahim Raisi and his supportive stance on the resistance, which is in conflict with Western policy, there is much optimism about the policies of the new Iranian government and the possibility of increasing support for the resistance in the region, especially in Palestine, an issue that has a special place in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Palestinian analysts believe that Iran, with its position, power and capabilities, can be a very good support for the Arab world and the Islamic world. And with the election of Ebrahim Raisi as the new president of Iran, these policies can be pursued with more power than in the past and achieve its goals, policies that have always served to strengthen the axis of resistance and support crucial issues such as the Palestinian issue.
