New Israeli government won't bring
"meaningful changes" in its hostile policies

Noam Chomsky

Tehran (Qodsna) - In an exclusive interview with Qods News Agency, the renowned American political analyst, historian, and thinker Noam Chomsky talked about the formation of new Israeli cabinet and their potential policies towards Palestinians in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and other cities across the occupied territories.

Answering to a question about possible changes in the Zionist regime’s behavior towards Palestinians, Noam Chomsky told Qodsna that “I don’t expect meaningful changes”, referring to long-standing occupation in Palestine.

Chomsky then rejected any improvements in the previous hostile policies in Al-Quds, stressing that the new Israeli government would continue as previous political officials.

Taking about unwavering US support for Israel, Noam Chomsky noted that US governments have supported Israel as “a free choice”, while he pointed to pressures behind the US government.

“It has always been the government’s choice.  There are of course pressures, always, but it is a free choice, typically based on strategic considerations,” Chomsky told Qodsna.
