Gamal Abdel Nasser was not able to generalize fighting against the Zionist regime

Tehran (Qodsna) - While the whole policies of a country are controlled by the United States, we should not expect it to promote resistance against the Zionist regime,” an Iranian political figure says, referring to Egypt's role in the latest Palestinian developments.
Speaking with Qods News Agency on the latest developments in the occupied territories of Palestine and the history of Egyptian role among them, Mojtaba Amani former head of the office of Iran's protecting power in Egypt said that Gamal Abdel Nasser former president of Egypt was not able to generalize fighting against the Zionist regime, “supposing that he can create an Arab united front against Israel.”
“Gamal Abdel Nasser planned to fight with the Zionist regime by Arab governments, but he didn’t realize that most of the Arab rulers were supported by Britain, and therefore, they didn’t have a strong bond with their nations,” Amani added.
The Iranian political figure then said that “Gamal Abdel Nasser’s movement lacked religious causes and basis and that was one of its major weaknesses.”
Talking about the Egyptian army, Amani noted that the “Egyptian army cannot advance fights against the Zionist regime, as it receives financial aids from the United States, which creates a contradiction with fighting against Israel.”
Mojtaba Amani also stressed that “the Egyptian people still consider Israel as their first enemy, and normalization of ties does not matter for them,” saying “there is a political movement that seeks to reflect the Zionist regime as a normal entity in the region, and it has been inducing people to solidify this illusion over the past years.”
“Unfortunately Egyptian authorities have expanded this theory among their people to disrupt their resistance spirit. While the whole policies of a country are controlled by the United States, we should not expect it to promote resistance against the Zionist regime,” he said.
