Election and it’s impacts on Iran’s regional policies

Ahmadreza Rouhollah Zad

Tehran (Qodsna) –One of the most important issue regarding election, is its effects on regional policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On June 18 Iranians to take part in presidential election. It will be thirteenth presidential election held in Iran since Islamic Revolution in 1979. Islamic revolution was the beginning of a new era throughout Iran’s history. Before revolution Iran was ruled in the shadow of the west. Iran suffered from political, cultural and economic dependence on west. Meanwhile, Pahlavi regime spared no effects in support of US and Zionist regime’s policies against oppressed Palestinians.

But, the revolution reversed the policies. A pro-western, pro-American foreign policy was changed to the Pro-Palestinian policy and freedom of Palestine became strategic priority for Iran.

Knowing that security of country is tied to the security of Muslim countries, Iran followed support of Palestinians’ fight against Zionist occupiers. In fact, Iran believes every Muslim country must assist in holy struggle to wipe out Zionist occupying regime.

Iran’s revolution from the beginning days, triggered worries among western countries and the puppets regimes in middle-east

US lost one of its most importance bases in region. Meanwhile Zionist regime started considering Iran as a big threat to its existence. Some Arab regimes were also scared that same revolutions would promoted in their countries. Based on all these concerns, some anti-Iran actions including sanctions promoted.

Despite all the hostilities, sabotages and enmities, Iranian nation managed to successfully overcome threats and Iran has changed to a political economic and military power in region.

Failing to achieve evil plots, enemies of Iranian nation, seek to target national solidarity and unity.

Enemies are using sanctions and distortion of reality to pursue goals of drawing a black picture of Iran and instilling disappointment. Enemies trying to create a rift and depict Iran government as ineffective.

There is no doubt that Maximum turn-out in Iran’s upcoming elections would foil enemies’ plots and neutralize conspiracies. High turn-out would guarantee Iran against enemies and would be a firm response to the enemies’ treats and sanctions.
