A war, a ceasefire
and a few points

Ahmad Reza Roohallahzad

Tehran (Qodsna) – After roughly a month of tensions between Palestinians and Zionist occupiers and 11 days of intense conflict, a ceasefire was reached on Friday. Some points should be reviewed:

Palestinians were able to demonstrate a unique and unprecedented united front. It is necessary to see a reflection of this unification in the Palestinian leadership, and if the PLO, which claims to be the leader of the Palestinian nation, cannot reflect that, it would lose its legitimacy.

The recent war caused that Global capacities in solidarity with the Palestinian Nation were highlighted. These capacities must be managed to be defined in all other Palestinian aspects.

The 11-day war also highlighted another important matter: It showed Israel has been isolated internationally. It means, on the other side, the Palestinian resistance against Israel has a deep and expanded social momentum domestically and internationally. As some Western states supported Israel with a significant delay, it reaffirms the isolation of Israel in international arenas per se.

Israel has always tried to create a kind of deterring power against potential threats as well as making Zionist settlers confident in terms of security. However, the past days proved that Israel’s military superiority has been lost a long time ago.

The operations of resistance groups in the Gaza Strip have completely changed the equation of conflict. Palestinian operations broke Israel’s defense walls and showed their strength to Wester countries and betrayers of the Palestinian cause.

Some regional and Palestinian movements tried to disarm the Palestinian resistance or other regional resistance groups and replace arm resistance with civil resistance. Despite all these shameful efforts, Palestinian rockets and missiles proved the necessity of Palestinian resistance against Israel’s crimes.

As a result of Western efforts, the military war between Palestine and Zionists has been stopped for now, but the war for further isolating the apartheid regime is continuing, and all domestic, regional, and international capacities must be activated in this regard.

US Secretary of State has traveled to the occupied territories of Palestine to meet with Zionist officials as well as the Palestinian Authority leadership. Notably, all of the previous similar talks with the PA haven’t had any fruit for Palestinian people. However, the Palestinian resistance groups have the upper hand now, and any future talk must include some factors: 1- Israel is an occupier power must withdraw from the occupied lands. 2- Building settlements in the occupied territories is an international crime and must be stopped 3- Attacking Al-Quds (Jerusalem) is a crime and must be stopped.

These are the new principles of any future talk. If a Palestinian hold direct or indirect talks with the Israeli side without considering these principles, he will betray the Palestinian nation and its resistance.

The Palestinian nation and the Islamic Ummah are happy for this serious change, and on the other hand, Zionists and their regional and international allies are upset and concerned about future developments.
