Two sides of the coin of the
Zionist regime's sabotage in Iran's nuclear facilities

Abuzar Gohari Moghaddam

A professor of political science at Imam Sadegh University wrote in an article that “It should be noted that Israel is not at all opposed to Iran's nuclear talks, aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear power and means of its power, but trying to influence on the negotiation process and take its interests into considerations."

Pointing to the sabotage conducted by Zionist regime in Natanz nuclear facility, Abuzar Gohari Moghaddam said: “There are two general approaches to the reason for the Zionist regime's action against the Natanz facility in which the first approach considers this action as the regime's policy of stopping the path of negotiations".

"The second approach considers Israel's move to be in agreement with the United States and to advance the negotiation process with the aim of reducing the pressure on Iran to negotiate and reach a weaker agreement", he added.

The analyst of international affairs also said that the timeline of the action, which coincided with the visit of the US Secretary of Defense to the occupied territories and after the visit of the Mossad chief to Washington and holding of two rounds of strategic meetings between the US and Israel, indicate the coordination between the two actors and that they were informed.

Another very important point about the Zionist regime's policy towards Iran is the change in its strategic policy towards Iran. Traditionally, Tel Aviv has defined its actions in coordination with the United States but in recent years it seems that due to the decline of the United States and the changing role of the West Asian region, the Zionist regime has independently pursued its own policy and implementing it towards Iran.

In this regard, tactical operations controlled by this regime, with the aim of preventing a full-scale war or decisive action by Iran is on the agenda. Israeli officials assess Iran's lack of serious response to such limited tactical measures. The recent sabotage of Natanz and similar actions such as the assassination of martyr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh Iranian nuclear scientist are examples of this policy that will be repeated if there is no proper response, he noted.

In order to create deterrence and change the calculations of the Zionist enemy, a clear and explicit operational action at a larger level than Israeli calculations is needed to revive the deterrence of the Islamic Republic and also ruin any Israeli calculations.

Pointing to the ongoing negotiations between Iranian diplomats and European parties in Vienna regarding Iranian nuclear deal known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he also wrote: The major goal of the United States from entering into negotiations with Iran is to impose its maximum pressure conditions, but if this does not happen, the spirit of negotiations and Its erosion will benefit Washington.

Negotiation for the United States has become a factor in controlling Iran's behavior. Continuation of the negotiation atmosphere at one level makes the Iranian people conditional on the outcome of the negotiations, and in practice, the United States can influence Iran's internal environment and influence the decisions and preferences of domestic decision-makers.

Erosive negotiations are also part of the puzzle of pushing back Iran's technical progress. The United States is no longer in a hurry to negotiate and sees wasting time in its favor, the analyst of international affairs added.
