Islamic revolution of Iran, a major loss
for America's Evil Empire

Declan Hayes

On the eve of the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, an Irish scholar and political expert, Declan Hayes spoke exclusively with Qods News Agency about the external impacts of the Iranian revolution on world politics.

Qodsna (Tehran) - Declan Hayes talked about one of major effects of the Iranian revolution, saying that “the fact that Iran went from being a puppet of the USA to being something else had repercussions far and wide, not least in Lebanon, where the Shias organized themselves. Iran was a very major loss of face for America's Evil Empire.”

“Iran did not happen in isolation, however. The concomitant entry of Soviet troops into Afghanistan in late December 1979 caused the USA to react and over-stretch her military forces in ways that still continue in just about all countries that border Iran to this day,” he added.

He then underlined that the Iranian revolution revealed the political approaches of Arab states.

“The rise of Iran has clarified the strategic chessboard in the Arab world to a large degree. Just as the chessboard has changed, so too have the means of attack, with sanctions and terrorism through proxies being the USA's preferred weapons of choice.”

Referring to the unifier role of Imam Khomeini among the Muslim countries, the Irish scholar also noted that “prior to 1979, Iran supplied Israel with oil and did the USA's bidding in any and all ways. The Shah and his flunkeys were rewarded well for their subservience. Since 1979, Iran and parts of Iraq and Lebanon have embraced a form of unity against the USA military and other forces that threaten them. The USA, her proxies and her allies have responded by playing the sectarian and terrorist cards in a very large number of arenas, including Iran itself.”

“Strategically, nothing has changed from the Shah's time. The USA and her allies, satellites and proxies still wish to exert total dominance. The rise of Iran and China, together with the resurgence of Russia, has meant a change of tactics. We see these tactics being played out at their most naked in Yemen, where the USA's actions are causing thousands of children to die in the most horrific and unspeakable of ways,” according to Declan Hayes.

“The Western NGOs who feed off these miseries but do not address American aggression which is at their root, are every bit as complicit in these crimes as are the US military. Their tactics all work to the same objective of full-spectrum dominance in the new evolving situations they face,” he stressed.

He then talked about the status of the Palestinian issue after the Islamic Revolution in Iran, saying that “The Camp David Agreement made the Palestinian cause a lot more difficult than it already was. The Palestinians have few genuine friends and the Israelis have few genuine opponents. Israel's strategic objectives have changed little over the years. Nor have her tactics of the divide, pulverize and conquer.”

“Israel, since the camp David Agreement, has felt itself increasingly empowered to continue that process. Israel has been helped in this by the economic and military war she and her allies have waged against the Palestinians' putative allies. Until she is stopped by sufficient military, moral and other pressures, Israel will continue her ethnic cleansing crimes. Israel continues to work very hard to eliminate all such resistance,” Declan Hayes added.

Describing “the emergence of China and Russia's resurgence” as the main concern of the United States, the Irish expert said that the US “has no time for any country or group of countries or companies that exercise sovereign.”

He noted that “instead of investing in research and development, as Russia and China do, she continues to provoke sovereign countries with her sanctions, her propaganda and her military aggression. The USA must either accept the reality of a multi-polar world or fight to maintain dominance. Although the USA has chosen to fight, she will eventually run out of the necessary resources to fight with. The demise of the USA is humanity's greatest hope. The more Iran can build alliances with countries the USA opposes, the better for us all.”
