Israeli police allow settlers to defile Aqsa despite lockdown

According to local sources, a group of settlers escorted by police forces entered the Mosque through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards.

The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) recently imposed a lockdown on the holy city at the pretext of preventing the spread of coronavirus.

However, the Israeli police have been facilitating the entry of Jewish settlers to the Aqsa Mosque since the first day of the lockdown, while preventing many Muslim worshipers, who are residents of Jerusalem, from entering their holy site.
