Hamas chief hails anti-normalisation mass protest in Pakistan

Hamas chief called on the Pakistani people to continue their support for the Palestinian people and raise their voice against normalisation with the Israeli occupation.

Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh praised massive anit-normalisation rally in Pakistan, attended by scholas from different nationalities, including Palestinians.

Speaking at the rally, Haniyeh said: “It is not strange for the Muslim Pakistani people, who have long supported Palestine cause and the Palestinian people, to take part in this historical event to reaffirm the Islamic identity of the Palestinian cause and their close connection to Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

Haniyeh reiterated his movement’s commitment to three strategic tracks: not waiving or conceding the Palestinians’ right to their homeland, sticking to all Palestinian rights, foremost among them the right of return, and remaining committed to the option of comprehensive resistance against the Israeli occupation.

“Hamas has realised the nature of conspiracy orchestrated since the start of the last century by detaching Palestine from its Islamic and Arab connections and weakening the Palestinian issue to be a cause for the Palestinians inside the occupied Palestinian territories,” Haniyeh stressed.

Haniyeh hailed Pakistan for facing off all challenges and managing to become a nuclear-armed Islamic state in the face of attempts to undermine Muslim capabilities.

“This march highlights that Palestine will not be alone and that the Palestinian people are the spearhead of the Muslim world in the face of the Zionist project and in defence of Muslim lands,” Haniyeh added.

The Hamas chief praised Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan who announced that his country would never normalise relations with the Israeli occupation.

“The Pakistanis are of strategic significance to the Palestinian cause, Jerusalem, al-Aqsa Mosque and our Palestinian martyrs, foremost among them Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, the founder of Hamas Movement,” Haniyeh pointed out.

Haniyeh called on the Pakistani people to continue their support for the Palestinian people and raise their voice against normalisation with the Israeli occupation.

Hamas along with the Palestinian people and factions will continue resisting the Israeli occupation in all forms and with all means possible until restoring the Palestinians’ rights, Haniyeh concluded.
