Saudi Arabia-Qatar reconciliation
not to improve situation in Palestine

Mahmoud Al-Zahar

Senior Hamas official Mahmoud Al-Zahar: The recent compromise between Qatar and Saudi Arabia will not improve the situation in Palestine.

In an exclusive interview with Qodsna correspondent, member of the political bureau of the Hamas Islamic Resistance Movement, Mahmoud Al-Zahar said that “It is unkliky that the new agreement signed between Saudi Arabia and Qatar for ending the longstanding tensions between the two countries since the summer of 2017 and also improving relationship between Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia can lead to positve shift in palestinian issues”.

He also said that the arrest of Palestinian leaders by Saudi Arabia has not any justification.

The aim of the Saudi leaders in arresting the Palestinian leaders is to gain the heartfelt satisfaction of the Zionists, the occupiers who have occupied the holy land of Palestine, Al-Zahar noted.

Saudi leaders in their latest controversial actions against palestinian leaders including Hamas members resumes trial for those detained by kingdom.

The Trump administration and the pressure of its leaders, including US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on saudi rulers with the aim of satisfying Zionists is also the most important factor that led Riyadh to decide to detain Palestinian political leaders," he added.
