The chairman of the Islamic Human Rights Commission said that Western’s double-standards towards human rights is a matter that has been misused by the United States, Britain, and other Western countries to suffocate anyone who defies them.

Qodsna (Tehran) - In an exclusive interview on the occasion of the first anniversary of the martyrdom of General Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, the chairman of the Islamic Human Rights Commission and international affairs expert, Masoud Shajareh talked about the personality of Gen. Soleimani, saying that he was a man of honor, he was a pioneer in serving Yazidi, Sunni, Shite people or other members of Islamic community among other commanders.

“I believe that the world owes Gen. Soleimani’s sacrifices,” he added.

He then talked about Western’s double-standards towards human rights, a matter that has been misused by the United States, Britain, and other Western countries to suffocate anyone who defies them.

“Their hypocrite policies towards Iran and Venezuela are clear examples in this regard”, Shajareh said.

The human rights activist further explained that “Westerners claim that human rights must be met in any conditions while they produce different weapons and sell them to their friends such as Saudis or Israel, which have led to massive bloodsheds. On the other hand, They state in their annual reports that 5,000 or 10,000 children or civilian, men and women are at risk of famine or death.”

Talking about US sanctions against Iranians, Palestinians, Syrian people, or Venezuela, Masoud Shajareh stressed that “thousands of Yemenis are killed annually by sanctions and a war supported by European countries and the United States.”

He then described terrorism as “a disaster for humanity”, adding that “malicious Zionists have killed many Muslims and it is going to be normalized for the international community. If the world ignores Zionists’ crimes, we will see chaos in the world order.”
