Increase in Palestine's exports by 11 percent in October

PCBS: Exports from Palestine increased in October 2020 by 3 percent compared to September 2020.

Exports also increased by 11 percent compared to October 2019 and reached $99.1 million, said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

 

Meanwhile, exports to Israel, which represented 86 percent of total Palestinian exports, decreased in October 2020 by 3 percent compared to September 2020.

 

On the other hand, exports to other countries increased by 60 percent during the same period compared to September 2020 and reached $13.6 million.

 

In the meantime, imports increased in October 2020 by 8 percent compared to September 2020, while it decreased by 3 percent compared to October 2019 and reached $459.3 million.

 

Imports from Israel slightly increased by 0.3 percent in October 2020 compared to September 2020, and represented 54 percent of total imports in October 2020.

 

At the same time, imports from other countries increased by 19 percent compared to September 2020.

 

The trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, showed an increase in trade deficit by 10 percent in October 2020 compared to September 2020, while it decreased by 6 percent compared to October 2019 and reached $360.2 million.
