Iran to respond to assassination of nuclear
scientist within Occupied Territories

Qodsna (Tehran) - Speaking to Qods News Agency about Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Head of the Research and Innovation Organization of the Ministry of Defense, who was assassinated in a terrorist operation on Friday at 2:30 PM local time in Absard, Damavand county, near Tehran, Lebanese Nuclear Physicist Dr. Hadi Issa Dalloul said: “the Zionist regime and the United States do not stupidity anymore, and that is a reason they didn’t leave any track in the terrorist operation.”

“The Zionist regime previously has conducted sabotage operations such as targeting the Beirut port, which left no track of its role,” he added, stressing that with this method the other side cannot justify its retaliation response to the terrorist operation.

The Occupier regime of Al-Quds uses the Iranian terrorist group The People's Mujahedin Organization of Iran (MEK) to advance its plans, Dalloul said.

Referring to the assassination of Fakhrizadeh, he stressed that “it is better not to talk about the scale of Iran’s retaliation till we find out the elements of the attack."

“I believe if it is proved that the Zionist regime had a role in the attack, the response would be conducted within the Occupied Territories of Palestine and by resistance forces,” Lebanese expert asserted.

“If the attack has external sponsors, Iran’s scenario would change based on that, which brings Iran’s revenge. But if it is concluded that external elements hadn’t any direct role in the attack, I don’t expect a revenge act just like what Iran did in Al Asad Airbase.”

Talking about the impacts of the assassination of Fakhrizadeh and the likelihood of triggering a regional conflict during the remaining days of the Trump administration, Dalloul noted that: “We should not expect a US-Iran war in the region, as there isn’t any order from Pentagon in this regard. Congress members have several spies in the Pentagon that would inform them before any potential war.”
