Amin Jaafari, Middle East affairs’ expert in an exclusive article wrote for Qods News Agency (Qodsna), described the contexts and consequences of the disclosure of the UAE and Israel normalization ties, adding that the UAE agreement with the Zionist regime is important in various dimensions, but the most important dimension is the time importance of the agreement.

The UAE is not the first Arab country to agree to normalize relations with Zionist regime. Egypt previously made peace with Zionist regime under the Camp David Accords in 1978 and Jordan in 1994 under the Arab Wadi Accords. Egypt signed a peace treaty with the Zionist regime at a time when the Arab countries had lost four consecutive wars and had no hope of weakening the Zionist regime.

In fact, the peace of Egypt was a peace based on "despair and Disappointment"; But the UAE has signed a peace agreement with the Zionist regime and is taking steps to establish formal diplomatic relations, which not only has not been a war between the two regimes.

Another dimension of the temporal significance of this agreement between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv is the fragile internal situation in the occupied territories. The Zionist regime is in its worst period of 72 years. Within a year, the Occupied Territories witnessed three parliamentary elections, which eventually led to the formation of a fragile coalition cabinet. In addition, protests against the economic woes and the failure of Netanyahu's cabinet to counter the Coronavirus outbreak also set the stage for anti-Cabinet and anti-Netanyahu protests. Tens of thousands of Israelis have staged the largest demonstrations against Netanyahu, demanding his resignation as prime minister.

Another dimension of the temporal significance of this agreement is announcing it on the anniversary of the victory of the resistance against the Zionist regime in the 33-day war in 2006.

Zionist regime’s defeat in the 33-day war define as the most important defeat of the Zionist army that crumbled the myth of the regime’s invincibility and also changed the geopolitics of power in the West Asian region and made the axis of resistance one of the most influential and constructive actors in the region.

Accordingly, the announcement of the UAE's formal agreement with the Zionist regime on August 13 is a deliberate and planned move.

Certainly a very important and strategic goal in the agreement between Tel Aviv and Abu Dhabi is to fully implement the project of "normalization" and forgetting the Palestinian issue as the main cause of the Arab-Israeli dispute as one of the foundations of the regional strategy.

Undoubtedly, another fundamental goal of the agreement between the UAE and the Zionist regime is the efforts of the leaders of this regime, as well as the Western ones, led by the United States to get Tel Aviv out of the political and geopolitical isolation in the region.

One of the major goals of the Emirati rulers who took the controversial step of normalizing relations with Zionist regime can be considered as Abu Dhabi's attempt to take over the leadership of the Arab region from Saudi Arabia in the region.

Another important goal of the agreement between the Zionist regime and the UAE is to try to build a coalition between the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and Israel against Iran, which has been dictated to the rulers of Saudi Arabia and the UAE by the leaders of the Zionist regime and the United States for years.

The UAE's efforts to attract huge Jewish investments are also naturally part of the tendency of the UAE economist rulers. It said that the Zionists have led Abu Dhabi to such a vortex by making such promises.

One of the main consequences of this agreement is that it changed the basis of peace between the Arab countries and the Zionist regime. So far, some Arab countries have signed a peace agreement with the Zionist regime on the basis of "land for peace", but the UAE has replaced it with "peace for peace".

It can be said that the project of disclosure the relationship with Israel started with the UAE and Bahrain and will probably end with Saudi Arabia. Hence, the United States and the Zionist regime sought to form a Hebrew-Arab coalition that in the absence of the United States could provide security for the Zionist regime and some Arab countries as well as US Middle East policies in the face of popular resistance and popular uprisings.

Therefore, in addition to the UAE and Bahrain, other countries such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, Sudan and Chad seem to have the potential to join the Hebrew-Arab coalition.
