US top official to visit the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Bahrain, UAE
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin plans to travel to the Middle East next week for the first time since the pandemic, as prospects dimmed for the U.S. stimulus legislation he’s been negotiating.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin will lead a U.S. delegation traveling to the Occupied Palestinian Territories., Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates on Oct. 17-20, the Treasury Department said in a statement on Friday, according to Reuters.
The visit comes one month after the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain signed agreements to establish formal ties with Israel, becoming the first Arab states to do so in a quarter-century, in deals that were denounced by Palestinian leaders.
Israel is the only regime in the world that sentences children in military trials without implementing justly measures. Moreover, captive Palestinian children are faced with systematic misbehavior and tortures, which are recognized by the so-called Israel’s justice apparatus.
