Conference in Solidarity with Palestinian Children, Youths held in Tehran

According to Quds News Agency (Qudsna), the solidarity summit of the Palestinian Children and Youths held today in Tehran in cooperation with a number of organizations and institutions including the International Union of Teenagers and Youths against Occupation, Iran based society I defense of Palestinian people and Palestinian groups as well as Hamas and Islamic jihad envoy in Tehran and other non-governmental organization in Iran.

It will also commemorate young Palestinian martyr Muhammad al-Durrah.

"This meeting held every year on the occasion of the martyrdom of 11-year-old Palestinian martyr Mohammad al-Durah and other martyrs of Palestinian children and adolescents.

Muhammad al-Durrah was martyred in the Gaza Strip on September 30, 2000, on the second day of the Second Intifada. Jamal al-Durrah and his 12-year-old son, Muhammad, were filmed by Talal Abu Rahma, a Palestinian cameraman freelancing for France 2, as Israeli forces fired bullets at them. The footage shows the pair crouching behind a concrete cylinder, the boy crying and the father waving, then a burst of gunfire and dust, after which the boy is seen slumped across his father's legs.

"Hossein Kanani-Moghaddam the chairman of the summit said at the beginning of the conference that we warn the international community that the Zionist regime continues its bloody crimes against the Palestinian children.

He further called on the Islamic parliament of Iran to consider all the documents of the war crimes of the occupying regime against the Palestinian people and bring the leaders of this regime to international courts for trials.

Hussein Ruyvaran, Palestinian affairs’ expert said at the conference that the people of the region are not involved in normalizing relations with the Zionists.

"This normalization of relations between the Arab countries and the occupying regime is a kind of electoral concession for Trump so that he can convince his country's domestic policy of what is happening in the Middle East," said Ruyvaran.

Nasser Abu Sharif representative of Palestinian Islamic jihad movement in Tehran thanked the Iranian people for taking a stand against the Zionist regime and standing alongside the Palestinian people.

"Palestinian children are facing all kinds of torture and oppression by the Zionist regime, he said, adding  “In 2014 alone, several thousand Palestinian children were killed and injured”.

Also, Khalid Qudumi Hamas movement envoy in Tehran said at the conference that the Palestinian people took to the streets during the Intifada and fulfilled their demands by donating blood.

Speaking toward Normalizers of relations with the Zionist regime, he said the positions of nations are different from those of their rulers. What the traitorous rulers want, their people do not want.
