Beirut meeting showed the unity of all Palestinian factions

Pointing to the impact of holding a meeting of Palestinian group leaders in Beirut and its achievements, Marwan Abu Rass, member of the Hamas resistance movement and head of the Union of Palestine Scholars in Gaza told Qodsna that the greatest impact and importance that the Beirut summit has had in this short period of time is the display of a unity-oriented and unifying spirit against the Zionist regime and the regime’s plots.

Such meetings had been held on a smaller scale before, but this period attracted more attention due to the treacherous actions of some Arab leaders on the Palestinian issue and the actions of the Zionist regime in planning to occupy parts of the 1967 Palestinian territories, he said, adding that speech by Ismail Haniyeh and a meeting with other resistance leaders, including Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, made it more special and important than before.

He also describes the presence of the leaders of the Fatah movement at Ismail Haniyeh's speech at the Ain al-Halwa Palestinian refugee camp as positive. At present, the changes and events against Palestine and the resistance have become wider and are being greatly expanded by some Arab, Western and Zionist leaders, so there is a need for the Palestinian and resistance movements to better communicate with each other.

Pointing to meeting between Haniyeh and Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah Hezbollah secretary general, the head of the Union of Palestine Scholars said Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and our brothers in Iran are active members of the resistance. They must play a more active role in the normalization of relations between the Arab rulers and the Zionist enemy.
