Palestinian teen injured in knife attack by Israeli settler

An Israeli settler has wounded a Palestinian teenager in a sudden knife attack in al-Quds.

According to Press TV, the stabbing attack took place in Salahuddin Street in central al-Quds on Sunday night.

17-year-old Mohamed al-Natsha was rushed to hospital for medical assistance after suffering a moderate injury in his neck, according to local sources.

There was no information if the Israeli police have arrested the stabber.

Tensions have been running high in the Occupied Territories amid plans by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s new coalition administration to impose Tel Aviv’s “sovereignty” over Israeli settlements and the strategic Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank.

US President Donald Trump’s self-proclaimed “deal of the century,” which was unveiled in January, effectively granted Israel a green light for the annexation in flagrant violation of international law.

For Palestinians and much of the international community, the annexation plan amounts to a grave violation of international law and would dash hopes of a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Over half a million Israelis live in more than 230 illegal settlements built since the 1967 Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank including East al-Quds.

All Israeli settlements are illegal under international law.
