Iran’s Regional Influence Stands for Regional Stability

Dr. Massoud Goodarzi, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in an interview with the parliamentary correspondent of Qods News Agency (Qodsna) discussed the possible scenarios from the United States of America towards the Islamic Republic of Iran and said: “It seems that Americans, within the framework of a multi-project seek to imply that, foreign intervention and adventurist behaviors of Iran, abandoning diplomatic relations with the United States, and government corruptions are the major reasons behind all the International pressures and financial crisis posed upon the Iranian people.

The member of the National Security and Internal Affairs Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran said: “The enemy is always banging the drums of war in hostility with Iran and takes advantages of every opportunity to use various political, military, economic, cultural instruments to strike.”

The enemy's psychological warfare targets the national trust to Iran’s administration. The Americans seek to imply that, Iran’s military movements in the region are the major reasons behind all the International pressures and financial crisis posed upon the Iranian people.

Goodarzi emphasized: “what they (the West) consider as Iran’s interference in the region is far less investments rather than other countries in the region. Iran’s regional influence promotes regional stability and national security.

He further stated:  “Iran is not only concerned about its national security but the Islamic Republic is also concerned about neighbor states security and stability. The National Security Strategy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is very clear and is based on the strategy of the non-infiltration of insecurity from outside the country into inside the country. Our question is why the United States and some European countries interfere in our region? Therefore, the discussion of Iran’s presence in the region is an excuse to eliminate Iran's regional influence and create insecurity in the region; meanwhile it’s the west to is committing the real interference in the region to make it unstable.

He concluded that: “The main cause of Western hostility to Iranian nation is their failures in the region and from other side the regional victories of Iran, so they are blaming the Islamic Republic of Iran for their regional failures.”
