Some thousands of resistance fighters were active here since the occupation started in 1982 and used the arena to make operations against the enemy. The delegation took its way to a cave which was dug by the hands of some 1000 resistance fighters and took them 3 years to dig it, this was only one of the caves out of many other caves which were used as hit and run against the invasion forces. There was much of military equipment still left in the cave which was some 200 meters long.

Next station was al-Khayyam settlements where the media delegation paid a visit to leftovers from an Israeli prison where they used to torture Lebanese people and their resistance forces, everything was completely leveled down to the ground except some torturing equipment.

The delegation was welcomed by by Haj Abu Hura, Haaj Karrar and Haaj Sajed, their hometown Bent Jabil was among the cities which were bombed during the war and it also had major role in defeating the Zionist enemy. Haaj Sajed took his time to narrate the story of how a mission was prepared to free Samir Qantar whom the Zionists refused to release him.

The narration tells us about how resistance forces ambushed a group of Zionist Special Forces whom entered Lebanese territories after their long last warnings that the area must be cleared from resistance forces, the enemy soldiers were ambushed and imprisoned by resistance force.

Israel couldn’t tolerate this move and quickly after started mortar shells which hit southern Lebanese cities such as Baalbaak. Bent Jabil was also critically hit and major parts of the city were ruined, at the same time the Zionist enemy lost a war in Maroon al-Raas which made them helpless and disappointed. Daan Haltus a Zionist army commander decided to take control of Bent Jabil instead, which became the arena of their heavy losses and it was where they were defeated in the 2006 war.

The enemy soldiers occupied parts of Bent Jabil and took some residential houses as their hideouts, which later became traps to them, the city became a major obsession for the enemy despite several attempts to occupy it, so they decided to rather level down they city with heavy mortar shells.

Haj Sajed gave a breath statistics from the war and said that the enemy losses were more than 35 soldiers and 20 tanks which they were from the Special Forces of Golan heights and from the other side the entire resistance forces were only 10 percent of the entire invading forces but our loses were only 18 martyrs plus the martyrdom of Ghassem and Khaled Bazi.

Maroon al-Raas was the next spot the delegation visited, the city was had major roles during the war as it is the nearest city to occupied territories borders, the city is a full narration of how resistance soldiers opposed heavy losses to the Israeli military and made them cry.

Qods News Agency delegation also paid a visit to the city Waadi al-Hajir which became a hell for the Zionist invasion tanks. The city is now a grave yard of the enemy tanks.

The resistance has a special figure in the hearts of southern Lebanon, while they were sieged and shelled from Israeli forces; they did not fear Israeli Special Forces infantry neither high tech war machines, in other words. You might say that technology makes the man, but it’s the man who makes the history.
