Velayati: Resistance, most important achievement of Islamic Revolution
Dr. Velayati at the conference forum for foreign guests participating in Fajr celebrations of the Islamic Revolution of Iran: Islamic resistance follows many goals that has put into its agenda from the earliest days, and the superior first priority goal is the liberation of Palestine and Quds Sharif from the occupation.
According to Qods News Agency (Qodsna), the conference forum for foreign guests participating in Fajr celebrations of the Islamic Revolution of Iran with the presence of more than 300 activists, political figures and elites from different countries of the world began today on the site of art field of Islamic propaganda organization.
Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati, the general secretary of the Islamic Awakening Assembly, as the speaker of the meeting, at the beginning of his speech congratulated the thirty-ninth anniversary of the rise of the great Islamic Revolution of Iran led by Imam Khomeini and welcomed the guests and honorable dignitaries.
He continued: “The achievements of the Islamic Revolution of Iran inside and outside of the country at a glance one of its most important regional achievements, is the "the establishment and strengthening of resistance discourse”. In order to explain the achievements of the revolution, I need to state briefly the status of Iran during the former regime over social, economic, and cultural terms, because without these information’s, the magnitude of achievements cannot be highlighted.
Speaking to reporters, he said Iran by itself decides to what extent to take advantage of its legitimate rights.
The US repeatedly brings various excuses on Iran's missile programs to relate it to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he said.
There is no link between the implementation of the JCPOA and Iran's missile might, Velayati underlined.
On Zionist's air raids to Syria, he said the Syrian government and its people have proven that they will sacrifice themselves to protect the country's territorial integrity.
On Turkish military incursion to Syria, Velayati said the countries' territorial integrities should be respected and meddling of aliens should be halted.
The Americans are not allowed to disintegrate Syria or any other country, he said, adding, 'If the US pursues its meddling policy, the people in the region will stand against it.'
In a Press conference the senior adviser to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on international affairs said: Syrian people will never tolerate the Israeli regime's aggression.
Speaking to reporters in Tehran, Ali Akbar Velayati added that the Syrian government and nation have proved that they would sacrifice themselves to "safeguard their country's territorial integrity, security and independence."
He noted that the Syrian people have managed to achieve victory in an "international war", in which more than 80 countries participated to dispatch terrorists to the Arab country.
The Syrian military on Saturday hit at least one intruding Israeli F-16 warplane that attacked positions inside Syrian territory, sending it down in flames and smoke.
