Hamas calls for actual implementation of 'Palestinian Central Council' decisions

Hamas movement on Monday called on the Palestinian Central Council (PCC) to abide by the newly-issued decisions and develop the necessary mechanisms to bring them into effect.

Hamas's spokesman, Fawzi Barhoum, said in a press statement on Monday evening that settling the Palestinian internal dispute in accordance with the 2011 Cairo Agreement should be a top priority in this process.

The PCC in its final statement asked the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization to suspend its recognition of Israel, and renewed its decision to halt security coordination with Israel and end the Palestinian economic dependency on the occupation which was entrenched by the Paris Protocol.
