A group of Syrian intellectuals have met with the Secretary General of the Society in Defense of the Iranian Nation, Zahra Mostafavi.

The SDPN chief greeted the Syrian personalities and said Iran was their second home.

Mostafavi then touched on the US President Donald Trump's move in recognizing the al-Quds ('Jerusalem') as the capital of Israel and said Trump has dealt some two blows to the USA by his move.

"For one thing, he inadvertently made Muslims further united and for another, he pushed the Palestinian news that had lost their luster recently to the top of the world news and helped all to know what scenarios the US has brewed for the Palestinian issue," she said.

A daughter of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, Mostafavi then touched on the lifestyle and attitude of Imam Khomeini and said the late Imam considered no difference between men and women, helping the Iranian women to move alongside men and reach top positions in the society.

Mostafvi noted that the Iranian women are choosing their fate and no one may hinder them.

She said the late Imam materialized his goal of implementing Islam and securing the interests of people, adding despite many onslaughts by the West, the Iranian youths stood their way and defended the Islamic Republic.

The SDPN chief added that the successor of the late Imam, Ayatollah Khamenei has followed his path and for the same reason, the Iranian people love him the same way they loved the late Imam Khomeini.
