Thousands of Palestinians marched at noontime Saturday in the funeral processions of two Palestinians—Mohamed Muheissen, aged 29, and Sherif Abu Shalash, 28, according to PIC.

Muheissen’s funeral kicked off from al-Omari Mosque, in Gaza city, on way to the Martyrs Cemetery, to the east. Abu Shalash’s funeral kicked off from Jabalia camp.

Speaking at the funeral, Hamas leader Ahmed Muheissen said: “The message sent to the world today is that every single Palestinian is ready to sacrifice his/her life for the sake of Jerusalem, the eternal capital of Palestine.”

“Another message being sent today is unity. We, the Palestinians, have to join forces for the sake of Quds and Palestine. We are the real owners of the land. We should stand firm to the enemies,” he stated.

Hamas leader Mohamed Abu Askar also said: “Trump has missed the mark. He can never change the status quo in Occupied Quds.”

“The U.S. administration aims to alter Palestine’s geographic and historic identity. There is no such a thing as east and west Jerusalem. Jerusalem is just one and the same. Our land is indivisible.”

“Who thinks that time makes generations forget their homeland got it wrong. Do not such people know that the love of Palestine has been breastfed to the Palestinians by their mothers and grandmothers?” added Abu Askar.

Muheissen was killed on Friday following fierce clashes between unarmed Palestinian citizens and the Israeli occupation forces east of Gaza. Abu Shalash succumbed to Israeli-inflicted wounds at daybreak on Saturday.
