CIA director admits Israel-Saudi cooperation

CIA director Mike Pompeo says Saudi Arabia is working directly with Israel and other Sunni Arab nations 'to fight terrorism.'

CIA director's admission of Saudi-Israel ties came during the Reagan National Defense Forum in California on Saturday.

Pompeo added that such cooperation will likely result in Persian Gulf states and the broader Middle East being 'more secure.'

Former CIA director and defense secretary Leon Panetta then called on certain Arab states to form a coalition with Israel, the US, and Turkey, and to possibly run a joint military operations center, according to The Jerusalem Post.

It comes just weeks after the chief of Israel 'Defense' Forces said Tel Aviv is ready to exchange intelligence about Iran with Riyadh and other moderate Arab countries.
