Senior Iranian expert in international affairs, Saadollah Zarei says the victory over the ISIS terror group actually removed a complicated scenario that was carried out by certain intelligence, security and diplomatic teams in the world.

The senior expert told the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) that the scenario was going to linger for minimum 30 years as the US government too pointed out once.

“The admission shows how the ISIS issue was a complicated, coordinated conspiracy,” he said, adding, the victory in Bukamal area against the ISIS terror group actually closed the military case of the largest terror group in the region.

The senior expert acknowledged that the victory was indebted to the command of Iranian Major General Qasem Suleimani and the sacrifice of the nations of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran.

The expert touched on the US sanctions on Iran and the Lebanese Hezbollah amid the victories over the ISIS group, adding the US government may have thought the economic pressures would prevent the regional forces from acting against the ISIS.

Zarei added however that the ISIS terrorism has not ended, adding a weakened ISIS group would embark on tactical operations with limited scope across the region in the future.
