Head of Hamas Movement in Gaza, Yahya al-Sinwar, said that the Palestinian reconciliation guarantees deterring any attempts aimed at liquidating the Palestinian Question, PIC reported.
In a consultation meeting held by Hamas with the Palestinian factions on Sunday, Sinwar affirmed the serious attitude of his Movement toward accomplishing all files of the reconciliation in Cairo.
The meeting, which was held before Fatah and Hamas delegations headed to Cairo in order to convene on Tuesday, was attended by deputy head of Hamas in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya, and member of its political bureau Salah al-Bardawil.
“We will not return to the internal division under any circumstances”, Sinwar said. He called on the factions to play a key role in achieving reconciliation by not allowing any party to disrupt that goal.
Sinwar also promised that his Movement will keep communicating with the factions during their visit to Cairo.
Hayya said, for his part, that Hamas has formed various committees in order to come up with visions for the implementation of what has been agreed upon in this regards.
The factions welcomed Hamas’s invitation for the meeting and hailed its positive moves towards reconciliation. They demanded next meetings to be held jointly including all of the Palestinians factions not only Fatah and Hamas.
