Egyptian Intelligence Minister, Khaled Fouzi had asked the PA Head, Mahmoud Abbas not to speak for the moment against Palestinian weapon of resistance, London-based daily, Ray al-Youm reported Wednesday.
Fouzi has made the request three weeks ago during a visit by a Fath delegation to Egypt headed by deputy of Abbas, Ezzam al-Ahmad.
The visit was aimed at finding a resolution to the Palestinian internal conflict and elections.
Fouzi has demanded the delegation not to speak against the weapon of resistance until the entire Palestinian issues are resolved.
The report says the Fatah delegation has nod to the request and signed on a pledge not to table the issue until a final political resolution is found to the Palestinian internal conflicts.
This is while Abbas has reportedly underlined that no one other than the PA forces may carry weapons in Gaza.
His remarks however were denounced by the Hamas political bureau chief, Ismail Haniya who said the Palestinian people has a right to reserve their weapons until their land is occupied by Israel.
