SDPN issues statement on global day of mosques

Iran-based pro-Palestinian NGO, the Society in Defense of the Palestinian Nation (SDPN) has issued a statement marking the anniversary of an arson attack by Zionist Israelis on the al-Aqsa mosque, saying the sanctity of the mosque must be protected by all Muslims.

The statement said the Zionists have pursued the demolition of the mosque as a priority in the past 50 years, adding all Muslims are supposed to safeguard the mosque.

The statement touched on the designation of August 20, the date of the arson attack, as the global day of mosque and said the initiative carried the message that Muslims must be vigilant against their enemies and that any inactivity on the part of Muslims was never appropriate.
