Aqsa events
carried lessons

Palestinian people have convincingly managed to keep at bay an Israeli project that aimed at gaining the control of the al-Aqsa mosque in the occupied al-Quds.

The developments in the occupied city provide evidence to several tips about the ongoing developments.

For one thing, the situation helped prove that a popular resistance that is led by the religious sources and relies on God may overcome the sort of problems that might not be overcome by those who rely on compromise and talk with the Israeli occupiers.

The Israeli occupiers initially refused to give any concessions to the Palestinian side however they sustained heavy blows after the Palestinians united their ranks in all areas, including the al-Quds, the West Bank, the besieged Gaza and the 1948-occupied areas.

Israeli analysts have already admitted that the developments proved once and for all that the al-Aqsa mosque is neither an Israeli property nor a Jordanian one rather it belongs to the Palestinian people.

Of note is that all protesters in and around the mosque carried Israeli identity cards proving that the original Palestinians have kept their identity and causes even under the imposed Israeli identity.

The al-Aqsa mosque may now be considered again as the focal issue for the unity of Muslim nations. On the other hand, Arab states would rather arrive at the conclusion that their normalization efforts would end up in failure as long as the Palestinian issue remains unresolved.

This victory was partly indebted to the Palestinian religious source that had the courage to run against the will of the Jordanian government that considers itself the guardian of the mosque.

But, it is largely indebted to the Palestinian people who sacrificed 15 of their best youths in the holy path of al-Aqsa mosque.
